How It All Began

Rock Your World is a program of Creative Visions

Dan Eldon was a 22-year old artist and photojournalist killed while covering the conflict in Somalia for Reuters News Agency. Following the death of her son, Kathy Eldon and her daughter, Amy founded Creative Visions Foundation in 1998 as a non-profit organization to celebrate and support “creative activists” like Dan.

In the enduring spirit of Dan Eldon, renowned photojournalist,
creative activist, and artist, Rock Your World is committed to helping youth make positive change.

Stay Connected. Get Inspired.
Social distancing doesn't mean being disconnected.
As our nation’s youth begin to process the changes in the world due to the Coronavirus, we are here to share their creative output.
We are sharing a collection of content and resources to help you get through these tough times and stay informed, connected and inspired.
Statement from Jessica Burnquist, VP of Education at Creative Visions:

Echoing the sentiments of Creative Visions, our parent organization, Rock Your World and Rock Your Rights believe that Black lives matter. We understand that until Black lives are valued, all lives are devalued. We also uphold the importance of taking creative action in times of unrest.

Rock Your World and Rock Your Rights will continue to create safe spaces for educators and youth. We will continue to provide relevant lessons and activities anchored in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that honor diversity and promote equity. And we pledge our continued support of Black educators and youth--especially with the following articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in mind:

Article 5. No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

Article 7. All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.
