Margaret Baker
"This year at Montera Middle School we are beginning an International Baccalaureate program of study. I plan to interweave California Physical Education and Health standards, Common Core standards, and International Baccalaureate standards in my curriculum. I will bring in Rock Your World activism for my students, tying personal and global pursuits together. I will know more about how I will incorporate human rights, interest focus, information gathering, and creative campaigns - writing, filmmaking, songwriting, etc. into our consciousness and work as the year progresses. I believe the personal is the political, and in the power of one, at any age, to encourage positive growth for everyone on Earth. My personal and global goal will be to weave these many strands together in my life and at my school."
