Miraculous Love Kids, a former school of music for girls in Kabul, Afghanistan, was founded by Los Angeles based musician, Lanny Cordola. Since the fall of Kabul to the Taliban in 2021, Cordola has relocated himself and many of his former students to Islamabad, Pakistan.
Our Creative Visions Impact Education team organized its campaign Miraculous Music in May with the intent of highlighting how music inspired Lanny Cordola and the students of Miraculous Love Kids to make positive change in the world and to overcome almost insurmountable circumstances.
For the month of June, we extended the campaign into Tunes in June. We called on YOU to shine a light on the power of music and the way Lanny’s story energizes you. Young people from all over sent us their creative responses to show how music inspires them.
Now that the challenge is closed, Lanny and his students will be selecting the piece that resonates most with them. Its creator will be recognized publicly and win a pair of Beats headphones. The winner will be announced soon.
