Vanessa Sanchez
Vanessa Sanchez is a senior at Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She will be attending the University of Iowa next year and plans on majoring in pre-law and minoring in criminology. After college she hopes to become an immigrant lawyer. Outside of school, Vanessa volunteers at the Cedar Rapids Public Library, St. Luke's Hospital, Girls Scouts of America after school programs and her school’s library. Since both of her parents were immigrants from South America, helping create this curriculum was very important to her.
