Students engage in an exploration of at least three goals of their choosing to learn more and track their response to new learning.

Lesson Design:
- Explain to students that they will have the opportunity to do some self-directed exploration about specific SDGs that are of particular interest to them.
- Preview the source that students will be using for their exploration: the United Nations Website “Take Action for the Sustainable Development Goals” with students, showing them how they can click in and out of specific goals. In addition, each goal page has useful infographics, bulleted facts, targets, and related links.
- Share the SDG Exploration handout, instructing students to pick the three goals that they will focus on today.
- Leave time at the end of class for students to share a response to their new learning in partnerships or in a small group.
